Paragon

Modern Slavery Statement

Our commitment

Paragon is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking across all areas of our business and throughout our supply chains. We recognise our responsibility to conduct business ethically, act with integrity, and promote respect for human rights in every aspect of our operations.

We are committed to transparency in how we work, the organisations we partner with, and the standards we expect from those who support our business.

Our business

UK Paragon is a specialist property acquisition, development and management firm operating across residential property, property management, asset management, and development projects throughout the UK. Through its group of businesses, Paragon delivers services spanning residential lettings, short-term accommodation, strategic property oversight, and development.

Our supply chain

Our supply chain includes a range of contractors, consultants, suppliers, and professional service providers who support our property acquisition, development, refurbishment, management, and operational activities. This includes construction contractors, specialist trades, maintenance providers, architects, engineers, legal and professional advisers, and technology and business service providers.

We are committed to working with organisations that share our expectations for ethical business practices and compliance with applicable laws. Where appropriate, we seek to build relationships with suppliers and partners who demonstrate a commitment to fair working practices, respect for human rights, and responsible business conduct.

Risk assessment

We recognise that the property, construction, and facilities management sectors can present an increased risk of modern slavery and labour exploitation within certain parts of the supply chain. While we have not identified any instances of modern slavery within our operations, we remain committed to maintaining appropriate oversight and exercising due diligence across our business activities.

We seek to work with reputable contractors, suppliers, and professional partners who share our commitment to ethical working practices and compliance with applicable legislation. We remain vigilant to potential risks and will continue to review our processes to help identify, prevent, and address modern slavery wherever it may arise.

Policies and practices

Paragon is committed to conducting business with integrity, fairness, and respect for human rights. We aim to work only with reputable contractors, suppliers, consultants, and business partners who share our commitment to ethical business practices and compliance with applicable laws.

We do not knowingly engage with any organisation that tolerates or supports modern slavery, forced labour, human trafficking, or any other form of labour exploitation. Where concerns are identified, we will take appropriate action and review our relationship with the relevant party where necessary.

Due diligence

Where appropriate, we take reasonable steps to understand how our contractors, suppliers, and business partners operate and to ensure they share our commitment to ethical business practices. This may include considering their policies, reputation, and approach to legal and regulatory compliance where proportionate to the nature of the relationship.

We expect all third parties we work with to comply with applicable laws, uphold fundamental human rights, and take appropriate steps to prevent modern slavery and labour exploitation within their own operations and supply chains.

Awareness and responsibility

At Paragon, we are committed to maintaining awareness of modern slavery risks and acting responsibly should any concerns arise. We promote a culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability, encouraging employees, contractors, and business partners to raise any concerns relating to unethical or unlawful practices.

We take all reports seriously and are committed to responding appropriately, reviewing concerns where necessary, and supporting responsible business practices throughout our operations and supply chain.

Ongoing commitment

Paragon is committed to continually reviewing and strengthening its approach to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking across its operations and supply chain. As the business continues to grow, we will keep our policies, procedures, and due diligence practices under regular review to help ensure they remain effective and proportionate.

This statement will be reviewed periodically and updated where necessary to reflect changes in legislation, industry best practice, and the ongoing development of our business.
